"Business" types appreciate this "snazzy hotel" with "sleek, modern suites that contradict the mundane suburban locale", saying it's "just like its sister W in San Francisco, without the traffic"; but critics fault its location –"out-of-the-way" "Newark is not in Silicon Valley" – insist it's "wearing down quickly" and lament the "limited" dining and "spotty" service; at least they can get great sleep in those "comfortable beds."

Very poor and bad service.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone because of its bad customer service.

Decor and room size.
They were not able to offer a late check out.

When I first walked into my room I was so wowed on how big it was and the decor was perfect. I love the contemporary look and this room well exceeded my expectations. I knew from the moment I walked in that my weekend trip was going to be great. It really set the mood and tone for the rest of the day. I will be staying here every time I visit the Bay area.

Sort of out of the way in Silicon Valley business center but good value, after all it is a W hotel.

It was very stylish and modern. We liked the luxury feel of the hotel.
The restaurant was too expensive. There was no free continental breakfast.

It is a great hotel. We will go there again. It is in a very quiet area, but close to the city. We liked the stylish decor, and the quality throughout. The bed was especially comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel for either pleasure or business use.

The staff was very gracious and friendly. The suite was a great value.
Not conveniently located to anything really. In the middle of business parks.

This hotel is great if you want a local weekend away. The hotel is located in a quiet wetland area in northern California. The rooms and amenities are very generous. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating. The dining room, living room, pool area, and workout facilities were all modern and well maintained. For what they offer, you simply cannot beat the price. I will absolutely, 100%, go back to this hotel with my partner within the next 6 months. read more

Large rooms, upscale décor.
Every amenity except what you need (toothpaste).

Trendy, hip hotel for business travelers. Comfortable large rooms. Bottled water $6.50 which is kind of insulting, where other hotels (Hilton) give you a free bottle. No rooms available with 2 doubles, only king. No bellmen available. No info about the parent company (what exactly is a "w" hotel anyway?).

Modern spacious hotel with a great style.
Cleanliness was lacking in the room.

The styling in the lobby impressed us, but once we got to our room we found: no hand soap, an open bag of potato chips in the kitchenette, the carpet was stained and dirty (needs replacing) from other guests "having a good time" and the room was booked for two and had only one bath robe.

Beautifully appointed and comfortable.
Not enough close parking to the hotel due to rainy weather.

Safe, comfortable, helpful staff, nice to have microwave and fridge in room for breakfast in the room.
