Nicely decorated, comfortable bed and a great location.
$48 parking, That's a lot to park.

The hotel is nicely decorated, very clean, with a nice size bathroom. The location is excellent.

The bell hop was the most helpful person.
Poor customer service almost to the point of harassment.

Terrible - thought we were getting a 4 star hotel and although the packaging was nice, the satisfaction of the hotel in general was poor.

Rooms were well-appointed, felt serene. Bed was excellent. Bath was excellent.
That I had to pay $9.95 per day for internet access.

Loved staying at the Westin river north. I'm going back next week and did not win this hotel again with my bid. The Palmer House will have a lot to live up to against my stay at the Westin river north.

Awesome location and beautifully renovated hotel.
Expensive parking fees!

We had an excellent experience with this hotel! We were given a room on one of their preferred floors. The room had been recently renovated and had beautiful decor, a flat screen tv and a very nice marble bath. I was very impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. The only downside I would say was the price of parking - at $48/night it was the most I have ever paid in Chicago. read more

Great location and river view and clean room with modern, updated decor.
Could have used a nicer bath/shower.

We had a great experience - the room was well-appointed with a great river view, the bed was comfy and the hotel is in a super location. No lines, nice bar/lobby area.

Extremely expensive.

When you pay the room fee - that's all you get. We paid almost $50 for overnight parking at the hotel. There's no complimentary breakfast or anything complimentary - you need to pay to use computers in the lobby and to print from those computers. Everything was very nice, pretty and sophisticated, but I was slightly disappointed in the details. Our toilet ran all night - we told the staff about it in the morning and they assured us they would fix it. The staff was great - the concierge was very knowledgeable on the area and was very courteous. read more

Not enough outlets and wallpaper peeling in bathroom. Parking was too expensive.

Convenient location. I am certain that there are rooms with a more inspiring view, but we were not given one.
