Though it's "on the edge of Hill Country", this "sprawling", "family-oriented" resort has "everything you could need"; duffers dig the "spectacular" links – including one course designed by Arnold Palmer – kids love the five swimming pools (there's "an adults-only area, thank God") and proximity to Six Flags, and grown-ups seeking a "quiet getaway" can partake of "wonderful spa services" or enjoy "breathtaking views" while dining at Francesca's at Sunset.

Staff went out of their way to make sure you had a good stay.
Maid service was incomplete, empty Kleenex box not replaced, one day we had to call for maid service.

Adult only hot tub was filled with debris (bugs and leaves) all 3 days that we used it.

The total care they gave us.
Outside noise but it didn't last long.

My sister and I stayed at the Westin La Cantera for one night hoping to have a nice Sissy weekend. The hotel is lovely, the room was great, service was wonderful. However, we had a car wreck on the day of arrival and spent most of the evening in the emergency room. When we returned the front desk person brought us ice for ice packs and drinks! The next morning we ordered breakfast in and after hearing our terrible story the young man comped our breakfast! This brought us to tears. Everybody was so nice my sister and I have made up our minds to return to the Westin when we are well and try to have a nice weekend again. read more

Good service, excellent sights, you can do running outside. Quality beds.

Awesome view, great facility, golf.
Very do it your self for a resort hotel.

Liked the hotel and would recommend for a corporate group or golfer. Seemed more geared for a conference or major event, than a fun weekend with family. Would recommend for business traveler or a family that was looking for golf or Six Flags adventure (or easy access to W-10). For a weekend or day in San Antonio, it's far from the sites and not much to do if you don't like golf, six flags or the mall. read more
