The friendly staff and location.
I was told valet parking was $38.00 on the phone but I was charged $48.00.

The Westin is conveniently located in the heart of Times Square. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was large, clean, and comfortable and even included a window seat. I slept very well as the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff quickly responded to my request for a rollaway bed when my daughter decided to spend the night with us.

Great for anyone wanting to see Times Square and fun bar.
Felt dark and a little depressing but comfortable in room.

We had a room on the Hudson River side of the hotel, with some distance to the next building it was one of the best views we've had in the city! Great shower with double head, and roomy bathroom for New York. Very comfortable bed!

Nice accommodations, everything was clean.
Not all staff were helpful.

Initial impressions are important. We decided to use valet to make our stay easier, especially since we went to NYC for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the valet did not start our stay on a good foot. First of all, I had to flag down valet to help us which is fine - its a very busy location and difficult to see who is arriving. But, I did not think it was customary for valet to state that self parking was less expensive to suggest that we would not want to pay valet price. Our room was nice and the bathroom was roomy. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. Requests i.e. another pillow, a cot took several requests to receive. The poor customer service was what made our stay aggravating. We travel frequently, however I never had difficulty with staff, therefore it caught me off guard. I do not plan on returning to this hotel in the future, especially since I've been at a few other hotels in the area that I had a more relaxing stay in. read more
