The front desk staff was very helpful.
Upon check in we found we had one queen bed, we asked for a cot and instead they moved us into a more suitable room, arriving within seconds to help us with our luggage and provide us with room keys. The front desk staff was very helpful in directing us to local attractions and sights. The rooms were clean, a bit noisy from other rooms, but nothing to keep us from enjoying our time in Anchorage. read more

Clean and convenient to RR station.
We only needed a hotel close to the railroad station in Anchorage. This hotel was perfect.

Downtown location is excellent for shopping and dining.
Water pipes in tub/shower made a horrendous noise.
Would probably stay here again because the location is so great. But the room and bathroom are very cramped for space and the noisy water pipes woke us up earlier than planned. On-site restaurant is convenient but breakfast was only so-so.

They were friendly about switching us to a different room.
The rooms were awful, smelled bad, stains on carpet and bedding, thread bare bedspreads.
Needs to be remodeled bad! In horrible shape.

Close to downtown activities.
Give preferential treatment to cruise tour guests.
Could not sleep because of noise until 3 am. Linen on one bed was dirty. Initial check-in clerk was rude. Spoke with manager about room and they did give us a room on higher floor for next night after we mentioned we'd be staying there another 3 nights the following week.

It was close to downtown and easy walking.
Needed updating badly. Not up to par for money spent.
This hotel is an average downtown hotel, needing updating and carpet cleaning in bedrooms. The lobby furniture showed of an earlier period which dated the establishment. The initial encounter with desk clerk was not favorable. She seemed snippy and had no desire to answer questions or help. Far overpriced definatley not a 3 star hotel.

Staff was friendly and had bath tub & glasses (not plastic).
Carpet was filthy, smelled smokey & musty, and bathtub too stained to use.
Not 3 star at all, except maybe the glasses rather than plastic. This place is dark & dingy & needs a face lift & deep cleaning. Carpet should be replaced as well as drapes to get rid of that strong smokey smell. Has been smoke free for 4 years but hard to believe, unless it was a mold we were smelling (choking from). Had to sleep with door open all night and loud traffic never lets up. Take something for the fet so you can walk on the carpet & don't count on being able to bathe in that stained bathtub. Yuk. read more

Computer with internet for public use in lobby.
Hotel was a dump withno amenities.
Terrible hotel. Would not recommend to anyone. Stayed 3 nights, room was never cleaned by housekeeping during my stay. Room next to hotel staff room and eating area woke me up at 5am with chattering and yelling and constant smells of food for their meals. Do not understand why staff area right next to rooms. Restaurant hours extremely limited. No room service. Hotel room strangely arranged alarm clock not even next to bed. Lighting horrible. Just a bad hotel that severely needs overhaul. Locals I hooked up with couldn't believe I was staying there because hotel parking lot known to them for shootings! read more

The staff was friendly and accommodating and the lobby and surrounding area clean.
The carpet in the room had several large stains.
It was just okay for the price. I have stayed in much nicer ones for less. It was very noisy because of traffic. I probably would not stay there again. Also, they charge for parking in their lot per day.

Clean, beds comfortable, room nice.
No amenities, no free coffee downstairs, expensive restaurant for breakfast, no option for continental breakfast.
Nice enough. Have stayed in Courtyard Mariott
liked it better. It was a hotel. We just needed somewhere clean to sleep and shower and maybe eat, but restaurant was very expensive and only offered an espresso coffee service for coffee.
