Fans find "something for everyone" at this "family-friendly" "mini–Hilton Head" just 20 minutes from Charleston with a "variety of accommodation choices" including hotel rooms, suites and private villas, plus an "excellent staff" and plethora of "pools, beaches, bikes" and "challenging golf"; the "community feeling" and "beautiful location" please most, though a few detractors declare it a bit "tired."

The room far exceeded any expectations I had.
The bed was beautiful but not very comfortable. (very firm).

We had a lovely stay at this ocean resort. In a beautiful setting in a beautiful room we had a nice relaxing time and were never far from Charleston or Mount Pleasant.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and easy access to beach.
The food in dining room was not that good.

Loved the hotel, off season when we went so many things were not open. But in season I am sure it is fabulous also. Off season, good for relaxing in luxury.

The staff was very accommodating and very friendly.
The business center was off site.

We stayed in a junior suite, overlooking the ocean, it was very comfortable, but the walls were thin, we were across from the ice machine and it was noisy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. It was our 25th anniversary and they upgraded us to a junior suite at no charge. The pool was heated which was great.

Beautiful grounds. Short jaunt to Charleston beautiful luxury location.

Rude female front desk attendant.

I don't know how this hotel got 4 stars. Our room had a dead bug on the floor, hairs in the bath tub, it was dirty and needs renovation. There were wasp nests on the balcony outside so we couldn't even enjoy it. Overall the hotel needs some maintenance. Our room was not ready when we arrived and the woman at the front desk was very rude to us. We did not feel welcome as a family with children as it appeared most of the guests were older couples. That may have something to do with the time of year. We couldn't get any beach chairs without 24 hour notice due to reduction in staff for the slow season. read more

This hotel is not conducive to sightseeing. It is meant to go and stay,

This is a beach front hotel/resort area. It has two restaurants on the compound, but is in a gated area and if you are planning on going out it is not user friendly. If you plan to stay put, it is fantastic!

My room, the common areas and the grounds were incredibly maintained.

Lovely facility inside and out. My room was so clean, I felt as though I was the first to stay in the room. The beach was very accessible, and the on-site facilities easy to use. A wonderful experience all-around.

We encountered a problem with an inconsiderate neighbor and management handled it immediately!
Nothing.

Great place. Staff amazing! Will definitely be back.
