Elegant, romantic. We often stay at the Willard to get away from it all and to give ourselves a treat.
We were upset to learn at check in that the water would be turned off one night of our stay. No one knew how to handle our negative reaction.

Just a stunning hotel.
There was not a pool on site.
This hotel was an absolute dream. Went above expectations. Great beds, fantastic service, amazing location and views. I am amazed at the price we got for this hotel on Priceline. Worth every penny and then some.

Location, professionalism of staff.
Not much view out our window, and there was some clunking noise in the hallway outside our room.
Great service, good location.

The lobby was beautiful and the location of the hotel was perfect.
The level of service was not in keeping with the star level.
The room was surprisingly small, although nicely appointed. The service level was not what one expects given the price, the star rating, and its reputation. From the bellman, to the desk clerk, even to those who were supposed to (but didn't) deliver the newspaper, there was something very average about the attention to detail and customer service.

The room did not match our expectations. The mattress pad did not fit the bed and overall, it was not as luxurous as expected.
Lobby great. Staff was great. Room okay.

Elegant, old-world, politically relevant, great location.
A bit stuffy and overly formal, unnecessary pomp.
Beautiful, classic Federal style grand hotel from the mid 19th century situated just next to the White House and adjacent to the Mall. The Willard combines its extensive political history with an elegance and slight European shading to create a vibrantly traditional upscale experience. The rooms are large with high ceilings and the service is well above standard four and five star caliber. read more

Everything was perfect. All of the staff members were great and always asking if they can help in any way.
Except for room service, there was nothing for the kids to eat.
I would recommend it to everyone. The location is great for sight seeing. They are close to night time activities also.

The location, history, concierge, front desk and
beauty.
This was the best hotel experience I ever had. We took an all-nighter to get to DC expecting to check our bags and wait till 3:00 PM to get our room.
