Wyndham Garden Bakersfield

For the price I got on Priceline, I was expecting a moderate room. What I received was a high end room that was beyond any expectations I had. If having to travel to Bakersfield again, I will use Priceline and stay at this hotel again. It was AWESOME.

OK for the price and better than the competition.

Though we didn't use them the hotel has a nice restaurant and bar, swimming pool and work out center and above all the staff was friendly and helpful. We liked the comfort and amenities of our room.

We were there on July 3, checked out on the 4th to attend a family birthday party. When you enter the hotel the lobby is really nice. A double staircase to the second floor and a beautiful chandelier and reception area greets you. The room was very nicely furnished. I use a wheelchair and there was too much furniture (coffee table in front of a love seat that blocked my access to the microwave and a coffee table in the bathroom that made it awkward to access the toilet from the wheelchair). To remedy this we just moved the extra tables into a corner up on end. There was a chest of drawers, desk with chair, refrigerator, two coffee tables and a love seat, in addition to two queen beds. The love seat and coffee table, as mentioned above blocked reasonable access to the microwave and counter top even for an able-bodied person. Wall mounted flat screen TV was not really very visible from the love seat. There were two large ceiling fans in the room. They were still getting their theater together on the 3rd floor, that should be nice, it will seat 9 people. read more

Conveniently located, clean, attractive. However they should really double glaze the windows, the trucks rumbled by all night long on Buck Owens Boulevard and kept me awake.
