The "holy grail" of New Orleans funk, this Uptown "granddaddy of the city's music clubs" with a "rich history" also "hosts everything from hip-hop to the blues", along with a Sunday evening "fais do-do" when "all the Cajuns come with their dancing shoes"; the space "feels somewhat barn-ish" and it "might take awhile to get a drink", but it remains a "marvelous venue" whose devotees declare "don't miss this unique place."
