The "classy", "consistently superb" Continental cuisine served at this "Sarasota institution" has made it the "place to go before the opera" for South African chef Jean-Pierre Knaggs' luxurious takes on classics like rack of lamb; "dependable, sophisticated" service and a "cozy, quaint" room with "understated elegance" make it hard to tell it "used to be a gas station", so all in all fans find the experience "a bit old-fashioned and always wonderful."
