An "oldie but a goodie", this "comfy" American mini-chain provides "surprisingly" fine fin fare in a "fun" atmosphere – especially with occasional "jazz" at some branches – plus you can "watch the yachts go by" from the "nautical and nice" Oakland locale; still, crabbier critics call it "stodgy", sighing "you'll feel like you've been here before" – "two decades ago"; N.B. the Palo Alto and San Jose pair is separately owned.
