Hotel Guest Reviews of the Intercontinental San Francisco

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Ideal location, great staff, excellent on-site dining/bar
Our room had a distinct bad body odor smell upon initial check-in. It went away each time we came in and the AC kicked on (motion sensor).

Very nice overall.
They got our booking wrong. Booked a queen but said we were booked for a double. Haha this ain't the 50's.

Park in the Matreon garage behind the hotel. Lot cheaper.

Location was a short block from the convention centre, 5 minutes to Union square. It's a relatively new modern clean hotel.
Front desk person was rather snooty.

Yes the staff was very helpful and accomodating.
Yes, I was not aware that to use the internet twice that the cost would be so steep--over $40.00.

The location was close to transportation or main interests. The breakfast cost was also very steep. I was not very happy about the cost of the use of internet. The concierge especially Nelson was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Parked @ 5th & Mission for $32 a day vs the $55 the hotel charged.

Great quality, service. Excellent food and bar. The Concierges are world class (really -- officially highly qualified)
There are no trash cans anywhere in the lobby area.

Super collection of Grappa.

Highest end hotel I've stayed in other than Viceroy, Snowmass, CO & Four Seasons, Las Vegas, NV.Incredible & usually very spendy...#1 AAA plus!
Didn't like that I didn't book two nights & couldn't extend @ same great rate.

No cons... Perhaps not best location but very accommodating!

Lovely hotel - great rooms, great location, great service.
lovely bathroom but the shower was a disappointment - no water pressure - very small shower heads.

Very nice hotel - great location, great rooms, great service. Would definitely stay there again.

The location was close to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium where we needed to be. The room was clean and bathroom was roomy. Beds were comfortable. Everything looked modern and well-kept. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The heating made the room feel a bit stuffy. We felt it was hard to breathe when it was on. Also, we were not sure what was complimentary and what we had to pay for. Price was a bit steep.

This hotel is very clean and nice. Although we did not have a chance to use the pool and jacuzzi, we were able to visit it and it looked nice as well. Staff was amiable and helpful for the most part. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. In our room, we had both a bath and a separate shower, which we liked. Views are not that great (from our room), but the windows let a lot of natural light in. We used public parking because the price for parking at the hotel was way to high. Also, we felt that the room was a bit stuffy/dry and it was hard to breathe when the heating was on.Overall it was a good stay and I would not mind staying here again. ...read more
