Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Westin Buckhead Atlanta

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Alright. Palm is in the Westin so we stayed for one night and had a nice meal.
Parking Garage has low clearance. I have a Dodge Ram 2 wheel drive and I scrapped going to the third level. Its scary low. If was in car would have been ok

The hotel room was clean and the shower had a great shower head.
The bathroom sink had very little water pressure. We also did not like having to pay $20 a day for parking.

The hotel was clean and had a nice design.

Easy to get to, clean rooms, friendly enough staff. Bar staff was excellent. Quick easy checkout, no frowning at me b/c I booked through Priceline.
The people at the desk tried twice to sell me on a Starwoods reward card, which I know they are required to do, but it was kind of annoying. They were quite persistent.

Very clean in public spaces. Room was also very clean. The bathrooms are a tad bit outdated, but like I said, very clean regardless. Parking is somewhat confusing with the in and out feature, but nothing too bad. Hotel car service was nice and quick to pick us up. I was able to get a taxi from the bellhop very quick. Spent some time at the bar to watch a game and the bar staff was really great. Sometimes hotel bar staffs can be *meh* but these guys and gals knew just the amount of interaction necessary. Nothing worse than an overbearing super talkative bar tender. ...read more

The location

Overall, I expected more from this hotel. The staff was not friendly and gave me limited information about the hotel (ie. no check-out time, and there was no guide in the room). The carpet in the room needed vacuuming and the towels were dirty. To top it off, housekeeping kept disturbing me about cleaning the room on the morning of checkout WAY before checkout time (which I later discovered), after I had requested twice for them to come back much later. I was not pleased with this hotel and will not stay there again. ...read more

The shower was the best feature.
The ability to exit and enter the hotel was horrible. They make you exit through a busy shopping center and pay $20 a day to do so.

If you plan to drive around Atl while staying at this place, I would look for another place. It's $20 per day to park and gridlock getting in and out. ALSO you have to take 2 different elevators to get to your room, very inconvenient.

Location and the bar is excellent, especially at happy hour.
Pool is too small and indoors.

Very near great shopping and great restaurants. The Palm Restaurant is excellent.

Location for shopping, and dining is ideal for Atlanta's Buckhead community.
1)$32 a day valet parking which is slow and mismanaged to the tune of even being given the wrong car keys 2) Room "accidentaly" labeled for no cleaning service per the staff (which I did not) but also ignored when service was requested two days in a row.

Book with an understanding that service may be hit or miss. My first two days were good but the last two days were well below what you expect for a four star hotel. Flat out horrible. The staff reacts only if you go to management which it should never have to come to that point. Save money by self-parking @ $20 a day, although still pricey. Location is walking distance to Lenox mall a definite shopper lover's dream. ...read more
