Hotel Guest Reviews of the Embassy Suites Hotel Ft. Lauderdale-17Th Street

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

During check in the counter staff was very friendly, was happy I booked through priceline. The hotel is a short cab ride from the airport - $15 with tip. There are plenty of places to eat in walking distance of the hotel.

If you don't want to rent a car, its only $15 to the airport. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. I rented a bike two blocks from the hotel. Using that I could easily cruise to the beach and Las Olas. The hotel was clean, the rooms were big and quiet. Everything I need in a hotel.

Love my room!!! Spacious room, comfy bed, great view of the city from the balcony!!!
The person who checked me in was nice but cold and did not smile at all. Greeting customers with a smile should be a mandatory at a 4 star hotel!

The rooms are pretty big, the complimentary happy hour for the guests, and the free breakfast are nice perks.
Though it is an Embassy Suites, it is not as nice as some of them are. There is a Marriott located near Coconut Creek and believe me when I tell you the hotels are the exact identical inside and out. My experiences with ES had always been a cut better.

Las Olas and Downtown Ft. Lauderdale are about 3-4 miles away and it really is your best bet for nightlife. The Beach might be good for the day if you are there on vacation, but it is way too hit or miss with no real variety at night for night life (think loud big tiki bar with beer poured into plastic cups with lots of folks packed in and standing about doing nothing...with the shot girl walking around and waiting for a beer packed in like cattle...that's the Beach at night). ...read more

Beautiful atrium
Ridiculous price for parking and the room air conditioning is weak and the fan barely moves air. Normal for all the rooms. This is Florida. A/c is essential. Stay away unless you like a hot swampy room

I always like the suite setup. Given the noisy atmosphere of most Embassy Suites', the suite style is necessary and effective for noise reduction.
I did not expect a hotel location that was not in the city area to charge for parking.

This Embassy was obviously built a while ago, with no major updates in decor or renovations/remodeling in the rooms (aside from flat screen t.v.).

I've stayed at this chain before, and they are always a great place to stay.
They charge $10/day for internet access. And I realize that parking can be bad in Ft. Lauderdale, but $17/day for self-parking is ridiculous.

Incredibly comfortable rooms. And having the second room in the suite is so nice.

Beautiful lobby
$17 to park. $10 for Internet that is slower than dial up. A/c in the rooms is very weak

The unusual thing about this hotel is the daily FREE breakfast and the Free evening Happy Hour! What a deal that is. We also like Jorge at the bar. He was always friendly and helpful.
Our room had only one little trash can, so it was impossible to keep the room clear of clutter. There wasn't even a bathroom trash can.

The Free daily breakfasts and the daily evening happy hour is a great deal. The rooms are equipped with a frig, microwave, and bar. They have a living room that gives you lots of space.
