Hotel Guest Reviews of the Tropicana Las Vegas - A Doubletree By Hilton
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 10, 2013

I don't know what a stripper would smell like, but I would imagine they would smell like the lobby of this old, out dated hotel did. We had to wait 15 mins for check in because they were under staffed, they gave us 2 queen beds instead of the one king bed we requested. They additionally charged us a $19.99 "resort fee" that included use of their mediocre pool and Wi-Fi that didn't work. When we first opened the door to our hotel room, it was immediately very humid. We opened the windows, got unpacked then discovered the carpet was sopping wet. Obviously, they just had cleaned the carpet, which we can appreciate, but that room shouldn't have been rented that soon. They were unable to move us to another room, so ultimately refunded us our "resort fee." The room was also gross, the coating on the iron tub was peeling and there was leftover hair from the previous guest. The pool was old and out dated, they blocked of half of it for no apparent reason, they played terrible old music, and the drinks were terrible - they obviously used very cheap alcohol. Overall, this hotel is definitely NOT a 4-star hotel. We had such a poor experience; we left a day and a half early. We will never stay at the Tropicana again nor will we be using Priceline as they falsely advertised this hotel to be better than what it is. ...

This hotel is OK. Not quite ready for primetime. Also, at check-out they tried to charge me
XXX a night when the priceline rate was XXX. I had to go through a whole argument to get the right rate. Overall, the experience was sort of annoying. Both the hotel and the priceline experience.

Staff was great. Low on hot water and the shower was made for very short people. Had a great time hanging out in the lounge.

Great location, beautiful pool!! But honestly too expensive for the quality of service. I would stay again with 45% off nightly rate, but other than that... there are too many cheaper options that come with a smile.

xxx charge on top ofthe
xxx (without tax) is high.
At time of check in, we were told room was not ready which was fine. We came back at check in time and room still not ready plus there was a long line with only 2-3 people at the registration desk checking guests in. Poor planning.

I am super picky about smells and cleanliness of my room. The rooms are very clean and don't smell like smoke. Tropicana has stepped up their game!!!! Newly remodeled and worth every dime! Be prepared for the resort fee which will boost up the price by about $20.00 but still worth my money! The food is great at the Beach Cafe!!! I would highly recommend Tropicana to anyone. We will definitely stay again. I give this a four star rating!!!! ...

Location is at south end of the strip, but an easy walk to the center of the strip. Beds are comfy but the washroom needs some work. Free cookie at check in.

Nicely remodeled - our room was large and very clean. The pool and outdoor area is spacious and clean, the pool was beautiful - low key with great service. The Beach Cafe served delicious food - enjoyed eating outside next to the pool area.
