Hotel Guest Reviews of the University Place Hotel And Conference Center
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 1, 2013

Chose this hotel as a last minute place to sleep for the night. I wanted the cheapest thing that I felt like wouldn't have bed bugs. It seemed clean, but I really only stayed for the night. Didn't use the shower, pool, or anything really.

It was easy to find off the highway. Their restaurant is only open for dinner but you are a few blocks from the street food vendors that is cash only if you are willing to give that a shot. The rooms were private access which was nice but it was semi confusing to find your way around the different wings to get to the higher floors. The rooms furniture, bed, lamps...etc are decent. Rooms are outdated with peeling wallpaper. Overall it is a little too spendy for its location and amenities. ...

This hotel was dirty and unkempt. The pictures used to represent it on Priceline looked like they had been doctored through a paint program b/c the hotel looked nothing like what it was supposed to. The breakfast was horrible and they charged for parking. This hotel was hard to access from the street b/c of a huge construction project which is likely to take months in order to finish. ...

A far walk from anything in downtown portland. Safe area, has an unfortunate motel feeling, though. No biggie for a traveling bachelor saving money while traveling, but not ideal for families or couples seeking comfortable, clean, appealing accomodations.

I would not stay at this hotel again. The upkeep of the hotel was below average.

Good location for University goers. Close to free downtown metro rail. Room was OK. Keurig coffee maker was unexpected. But although the room was clean, the hallways smell and are a bit dingy needs new carpeting.

Seemed very old and definitely needs updating. The breakfast buffet was not good. The scrambled eggs were not edible as they were fake eggs. Probably dried or powdered.
