Hotel Guest Reviews of the Waterfront Place Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.June 10, 2013

Nice location and amenities. Helpful courteous staff. Will stay here again in the future as my daughter will be attending WVU in the fall. I am glad I found this hotel.

If you are in a pinch and stuck in Morgantown, WV, then it isn't the worst place to stay. If you aren't worn out from driving, I would recommend continuing on to find a hotel that offers more for what it costs or even consider staying at a lower rated hotel that will also cost less, but still offer very similar amenities.

Pros - comfortable and spacious, big screen tv, nice location on river trail Cons - pay for parking that is not even in the same building as hotel, charge for making phone calls, not enough bath towels and washcloths, no drinking cups in bathroom, no mouthwash, not pet friendly

Close to downtown and wharf district. Covered, in-and-out parking for a small fee. Clean and professionally run property. Easy access to highways.

We have stayed here numerous times in the last 2 years and have noticed a decline in both housekeeping and customer service. No towels at pool area even after calls to front desk, dirty carpets in rooms and common areas etc. Only hotel we stay at that charges $2.00 for a cup of coffee in the morning.

Overall it was a pleasant experience and did seem like the nicest hotel in the area so would definitely stay there again

In a waterfront location that is undergoing a revitalization with West Virginia University welcome centre in the building next door, a waterfront trail and public workout area next to a children's playground along the banks of the Monongahela River. New restaurants opening nearby including the casual but excellent Mountain State Brewing Company pub.
