Hotel Guest Reviews of the Westin Charlotte
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 8, 2013

Since we were there for the Wells Fargo Golf Championship, they had an awesome hospitality breakfast that I don' t think the regularly offer. I like to stay where there is a free breakfast.

The location was perfect for enjoying Charlotte night-life & the hotel itself if very nice. We were told we had 24/7 access to the hotel's towncar for transportation to local night-life. We had no trouble getting to our destination, but when we called at 1:00 am to be picked up, we were told to call a cab. Overall, the service was quite disappointing.

The Westin was more than we had hoped for. Having never stayed in this chain and based on some of the reviews, we were a bit apprehensive. The beds were comfortable w/ pillows a plenty; rooms were quiet, clean and fresh; housekeeping was friendly, timely and attentive; location was fine for walking about town, easy in and out from all road systems. There for two nights, 18th floor room with long range views, in what they termed a ¿Traditional King¿; adequately sized and appointed. Front desk staff and all phone call handlers were extremely polite and consistently accommodating. I guess it¿s all in your perspective, would recommend it as a chain in general and Charlotte¿s Uptown location in specific, nothing negative to report, generally pleasant and comfortable. ...

Beds were really great and the corner room felt bright & airy with a good view of the city. However, they seem to be seriously understaffed. We stayed here for anniversary and while they made an effort to meet our requests, things simply weren't done right. Huge lines for check-in. Room type paid for wasnt ready and they were going to downgrade unless we waited. Communication was very poor as I tried to arrange to have flowers setup in room. Even the person at the starbucks coffee counter couldnt make a chai latte right and gave us attitude about it. Definitely not a place where you feel like a valuable customer for the price you pay, but with more attention to staffing the place would be more worthwhile. ...

This hotel was right in the middle of town, walking distance between the stadium, arena, train station, food. The staff was friendly and accomodating so it was easy to get to our destination without driving. There was limited late-night food choice, so we walked a few blocks to grab a bite. Since there were several conferences and events booked that weekend, parking was tight. Overall, my daughter and I had a great experience. ...

Restaurant had a great breakfast, but was expensive at $20 per person for the buffet. The staff was not prepared for the convention that was taking place there (which we were not a part of) and we had to wait over an hour in a terribly long line to check in. The valet parking was full and we had to self park, still had to pay an $18 parking fee, which seemed unfair. However, the hotel was clean and smelled very nice. Our room was very nice with an incredible view. Oversized shower head was a neat touch, but not very ergonomic. ...

Good value, good service, extremely comfortable bedding. Other hotels are situated more central to center city, but honestly it was only a few blocks difference so I don't take that as a negative. Great experience overall.

Charlotte is not very big, and this is hotel is "uptown". There are many dining options within walking distance. We didn't really see much within the city after the first few blocks of walking, since we were primarily down there to tour suburbs to see if it was an area we'd consider moving to. Very clean hotel, with a fantastic staff who was very willing to help with whatever we needed. The gym was great too. The bed was very comfortable. ...
