It was a great location, very friendly staff, rooms were clean and adequately spaced, and the continental breakfast was very good.

Hotel was easy access from all forms of transportation into the city, it was clean, private and breakfast was great. Would definitely go back.

The Wingate is a great hotel. It's smaller than some but big on nicely decorated rooms. It is located near Penn Station which made it easy for us to see various NYC attractions. I enjoy staying there again.

We really enjoyed the central location of this hotel. It's easy access to JFK as it's a block to the A train. Also very close to Penn Station and Herald Square. Times Square, Central Park, Columbus Circle, Flat Iron and other key tourist areas are within 10-20 minutes walking distance. I think this is a great hotel for tourists. It's also great for business trips, as it's pretty easy access to a variety of trains that can get you wherever you need to go. We would definitely stay here again. The room was also much larger than other hotels I have stayed at in NYC. Not a deal breaker or anything, but given the choice, I would probably prefer a bit larger room. It's a good walk to Central Park so keep that in mind. But Macy's & Empire State bldg is very close so that was great. Hotel was clean & my bed was very comfy. The free breakfast helps on saving $$. I learned you can buy a week"s worth for 30.00 to ride the subway unlimited which could come in handy. We walked mostly & took a taxi a couple times fare wasn't too bad. I wouldn't go back to this place. Small rooms with really crappy tvs. Very thin walls and no cell phone reception in the room.

Good, excellent service , size of the rooms are spacious. except for the crazy chef in the morning that shouts at a person for removing the waffles wrong according to him.
