Family Traveling with Young Children
We have stayed at the Bay Point in the past but it seems to have gone downhill. The rooms aren't as nice as they used to be and they seem to not have enough staff on hand. Our room was missing several things that the maid should have checked. Overall it was just a so so hotel, nothing great.

Overall our trip was great. Loved the location, not to far from the beach, right around the corner from Publix. The pool scenery is beautiful. Loved the squirrel that hangs around by the pool, very cool, feed him nuts out our hands, very cool.

Nice location away from the busy strip. Complimentary boat ride to nearby Shell Island which has a very nice beach. Good food at the hotel restaurant (Kingfish).

Solo Traveler
Would seem to be a very nice place for a gulf vacation or a family with young kids. Especially if they wanted a beach vacation and wanted to be away from traffic and noise associated with being on the beach.

We loved the restaurant at the hotel. The food was amazing and prices very reasonable. We thought the grounds were very nice and clean. I didn't like the fact that the restaurant outside wasn't open. They said it would open and it never did. The ride to shell island was awesome. We saw several dolphins right next to the boat. The rooms and building we stayed in was clean but needs some updating for the star level. Staff was very friendly and helpful. ...

I paid $XXX a night and it was too much for the room, but knowing the location and amentities it was probably a fair price. Not near a DEAL though. Priceline could show certain details without giving the hotel "name" away if that's the game.
